Georgie Pie was a fast food chain owned by supermarket operator Progressive Enterprises that hoped to be "New Zealand’s own homegrown alternative to the global fast-food industry giants such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Burger King.

We want our Georgie Pie Back!
How many of us would actually drive to get a Georgie Pie these days? Yes, Georgie Pie was nice and their pies were great but times and tastes have changed. It would be great to see them back but it may not be the same and McDonalds can't be expected to run a charity, they are running a business. Personally I would love to see Georgie Pie back but not sure kiwis would support them to the extent which would be required to run a business from it. These things cost money and it either makes a profit or someone loses money.

The "Georgie Pie place" in Kelston isn't really georgie pie.. Though that probably is why they named it GP pies, to attract people.. Well it worked on me! Though I must say.. Their Butter Chicken pie is THE BEST PIE I HAVE EVER TASTED =|
