McDonald’s Getting Georgie Pie Fans Excited, with Possible Comeback

McDonald’s seems to have got the Georgie Pie fanboy/fangirl drooling at the mouth, with the news that they are looking at how they may use the brand in the future. They were intrigued at the the level of passion that people still had for the old franchise which finally closed in 2006.

And if your wondering if there is a lot of people out there that want Georgie Pie back, well check out the Facebook Group for Georgie Pie. and check out the amount of comments people leave about Georgie Pie.

Will Georgie Pie really come back? Is McDonald’s just after more money?
Any comments people...?

Yeh McDonald's probably is after money! But if they bring Georgie Pie back, and the pies taste exactly the same as what they did back in the day, then I don't mind! You've gotta pay for what you want these days!

I certainly hope that they do bring it back; even though I have never tried the pies, I have heard so much about it from my parents, my family, and of course, various people over the internet. I love pies, though I have never tasted a pie which is fully satisfying to the taste buds, and so if they are bringing Georgie Pie back, I would most definitely be a customer.

Who cares if Mc Donalds only wants to make more money - cause lets face it - if they were to open a store or 2 they would make a heck of allot......So many of us love Georgie Pie - so long as they taste the same thats all that really matters right??? lol
N as for that GP PIE in Kelston in Auckland - nothing like a reall Geogiepie pie - nice attempt guys but not quite there lol

They wouldn't bring it back if they didn't think it was a financially viable decision. If they thought there was money to be lost over it, why start up? That's just business. However, I think there has long been enough interest from people to make it financially worth it, so now it's just down to whether or not McDonald's New Zealand feels they can deliver service that's fast enough, and whether or not they WANT to bring it back at all or are just fuelling the hype with rumours.

Supposedly they want to make it a part of McCafe. I'm not sure if I like that idea from a sentimental point-of-view, but it's better than no Georgie Pie at all.

Yeah, this post didn't age too well.

Georgie Pie
